Weather, the favorite British topic
Britons spend on average the equivalent of six months of life talking about the weather, a study quoted by AFP.
Research has established that the British talk about the weather for 49 hours each year.
Thus, weather is on at the top topics of conversation, exceeding other topics such as issues, programs, etc. movies, sports, or gossip.
Speculation on weather or dissatisfaction with cold or heat seems to be the main conversation topic with strangers as well for 58% of Britons.
Sociological survey was conducted by Independent Survey Institute Communications and Marketing (ICM) on a sample of 2018 people.
Furthermore, over 19% of people aged over 65 felt that they are able to predict weather as well as professional meteorologists.
