27 people killed in Iran suicide bombing
At least 27 people were killed in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan after a pair of suicide bombings took place on Thursday.
An Iranian extremist group claimed to be responsible for the attack, killing 27 and wounding dozens more.
“This operation is in response to the continuous crimes committed by the Iranian regime in Baluchistan,” the official statement said.
“These two men sacrificed their souls to humiliate the regime and have proved that our misery will only end with Jihad and by scandalizing the criminals.”
The explosion burst in front of Zahedan’s Grand Mosque, followed by a second one, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported.
