Over 100 missing in China flood
Beijing, China – Over 100 people have died or missing due to floods in northeast China’s Jilin province and it has raised fears of tainted water and have cut utility services, reports state-run news agency on Friday.
At one point the rain waters submerged buildings up to three stories and 21,875 buildings have already collapsed. More than 254,000 people have been forced to evacuate, said civil affairs department of the province in a statement.
About 7,000 chemical containers have also been washed out in fast-moving waters into the Songhua River in Yongji County raising fears of water contamination.
