July death toll highest in Iraq since 2008

Baghdad, Iraq – At least 7 people were killed and 23 others injured in separate attacks in Iraq on Saturday.
 
A government data released on Saturday revealed that as a result of violence, July was the deadliest month in the country since May 2008 and the toll of killed people reached 535.
 
The data also revealed of sharp rise in the level of violence in five months after the parliamentary elections. In July, 396 civilians, 89 policemen and 50 soldiers were killed in attacks. In June 284 people died. Last year in July 275 people died of violence.
 
The figures further said that 1,043 people were injured in attacks in July, which is the highest in 2010.
