US rushes with aid to flood-hit Pakistan

US has rushed boats, bridges, helicopters, water units and other necessary supplies apart from $10 million to the flood-hit Pakistan areas.

In a statement on Sunday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, “The Pakistani people are friends and partners, and the United States is standing with them as the tragic human toll mounts from flooding in northwest Pakistan.”

Over 1300 people have been killed by the worst monsoon floods in the north-west Pakistan. The flood has been deadliest since 1929. Due to heavy rain and poor visibility Airblue plane crashed on Wednesday near capital Islamabad in which all the 152 on board were killed.

At least 47 other people have died in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir due to flood said officials.
