India Vs Sri Lanka 3rd test, day 5 highlights

A brilliant centry from VVS Laxman and solid contributions from Sachin Tendulkar and Suresh Raina helped India win the third and final test of the series against Sri Lanka. This win has also helped India draw the series 1-1, after losing the first test.

Sri Lanka looked to continue where they left off last night after grabbing the wicket of Ishant Sharma early in the day, but VVS Laxman proved the difference and stroked Sri Lanka out of the match.

Laxman was sublime right from the first ball and never looked like being troubled by the bowlers. He combined with Tendulkar for a 109 run partnership to save India after they crumbled to 4/62.

Laxmans remained unbeaten on 103. His knock included 12 fours and he brought up his ton with an elegant leg glance that raced to the boundary.

Sachin Tendulkar scored an important 54, while Raina was unbeaten on 41 and brought hit the winnings runs with a six over long-on.
