Now Rome is too a Home for Modern Art
The city of Rome is famous for its ancient monuments and extensive ornamentation in decorative art of churches now have two new contemporary art galleries justifying its name, and more surprisingly both designed by foreign women.
Sunday May 30th will be a remarkable day as the MAXXI gallery in Rome opens it’s futuristic doors to the public.
The New building of Museum of Art in Rome is a XXIst century futuristic prototype. It is one of a few super-modern buildings to find a place in the city, where modern architecture has often been met with bitter anger and ill-will.
The inauguration ceremony is a three-day festival that began on Thursday with the presentation of the gallery to public and enthusiastic journalists and specially critics.
