No iPhone 4g price drop despite antenna problems

Apple fans who were hoping for a iPhone 4g price drop might have to wait a bit longer, as Apple seems content with its current pricing. The iphone, which was unveiled back in June costs $199 for the 16 gb version and $299 for the 32 gb version, for users who upgrade with a 24 month contract from AT&T.

The iPhone 4g has been plagued with antenna problems since it was went on sale. Users reported a sudden drop in signal strength, or even dropouts when the phone was held a certain way.

Apple first tried to deny anything was wrong, but with pressure mounting, and lawsuits being filed, they finally decided to act, giving away free cases that would solve the issue. Many people also speculated a recall, but that did non happen.

The most likely cause of this problem could be a software glitch. As you read this, Apple are probably working on a fix for this problem. But until then, users have to put up with the problems and the price.

There is one bit of good news though. Reports suggest that Verizon will be releasing the iPhone 4g on their network early next year, providing  much needed relief to AT&T customers.  A Verizon iPhone is what many people are looking forward and looks like their dreams will come true.
