India v Zimbabwe 1st T20I: India elects to field first

Suresh Raina send Zimbabwe in to bat after winning the toss.

Indian captain Suresh Raina has elected to field first after winning the toss in the first of two T20 at Harare. Having lost the twice to Zimbabwe, the Indian team will be hoping to finish off the series on a positive note ahead of the Asia Cup 2010 in Sri Lanka.

India opted to two seamers, Dinda and Vinay Kumar, while wicketkeeper Naman Ojha is making his debut and replaces Dinesh Karthik. Ziimbabwe also made a couple of changes, Coventry and Cremer have been replaced by Ed Rainsford and Chamu Chibhabha.

Indias form has been poor in the past couple of month, having being knocked out of the group stages in the World T20 in the West Indies and losing three of the four matches in the recently concluded tri  series. India will be hoping to change their fortunes tonight and  build momentum ahead of a busy season.

A short time ago Zimbabwe were 14/1 after two overs. Vinay Kumar accounted for  H Masakadza in the first over. He was caught by Raina 1 run off 3 balls. Brendon Taylor has 9 runs to his name
