India Vs Zimbabwe 2nd T20I: Raina, Vijay help India seal series win

Suresh Raina's half century helped India seal a series win against Zimbabwe
Crisp hitting from Suresh Raina and Murali Vijay helped India win the 2nd T20I against Zimbabwe and take the two match series 2-0. Chasing 141 for visctory, India made a positive start but soon lost opener N Ojha. Fellow opener Murali Vijay then took up the charge, along with captain Suresh Raina, adding 79 runs for the second wicket. In the end India got home comfortably with 8 wickets and 12 balls to spare.
Under pressure to perform after a dissapoint tournament thus far, Vijay looked good right from the first ball he faced. He took his time to settle in and soon made up for lost deliveries, clearing the fence 5 times with ease. He was dismissed for 46, while Raina who was also ruthless in his approach finished unbeaten on 72 from just 44 balls.
Earlier in the day, hard hitting and positive running between batsmen Charles Coventry and Elton Chigumbura helped raise Zimbabwe to 140/5. Zimbabwe made a slow start losing opener Hamilton Masakadza and Chamu Chibhabha early in the innings, but clawed their way back into the match thanks to a 43 run partnership between Taibu and Brendan Taylor.
Just when the pair were looking like taking the game away from India, Amit Mishra struck, dismissing Taylor for 27. This brought Coventry to the crease who set about increasing the run rate. He blasted 28 from just 13 balls including 2 sixes, however he was accounted for by Dinda just when was starting to looks dangerous.
Chigumbura then provided the finishing fireworks scoring 18 from 6 balls, while Taibu remained unbeaten on 45. Dinda was the pick of the Indian bowlers picking up 2 wickets for 15 runs from 4 overs. P Ojha, Mishra and Ashwin picked up one wicket each.
India now head to the Asia Cup 2010 in Sri Lanka where they will hope to continue their winnings form. India will be boosted with star batsmen Virender Sehwag and captain MS Dhoni who will return to the squad after being rested for the Zimbabwe tour.
