Pakistan VS England 2nd test, day 3 highlights
A gritty 88 from debutant wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider and a fighting 50 from Saeed Ajmal restored Pakistans pride in the second test against England.
Pakistan were 291/9 at stumps and have a handy 112 run lead. This was a mighty turnaround after they were demolished for 72 in their first innings and crumbled to 101/6 second time around.
Pakistans day started badly and their middle order once again crumbled as the English bowlers ripped havoc. Youngsters Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal and Umar Amin got into double digits, but neither could go on to post a big score when their team needed it the most.
Haider and Ajmal provided England with a few anxious moments as they starred in a century partnership. Haider was impressive scoring 15 fours in his 200 ball 88, while Ajmal provided him with good support down the order. However things changed in the final session when both of them fell in quick sucession and Pakistan were once again on the back foot.
Graeme Swann was the pick of the English bowlers picking up 6 for 60. However it was the Pakistani lower order who let the bat do the talking. They have now set up an interesting run chase and England will certainly have their hands full.
