Poland remembers air crash dead
Poles commemorated today the drama which occurred a month ago when the Polish presidential plane crashed in Russia and all 96 people on board lost their lives, including President Lech Kaczynski and his wife.
The tragedy of April 10th clearly influences the Kaczynski’s succession campaign .
“April 1th0 is a date written in our memory and will stay that way until the end of our days,” said Monday the Polish episcopate secretary, Monsignor Stanislaw Budzik, during a mass for the accident victims, celebrated at 08.40 the approx local time of the disaster.
At the same time, other services were celebrated throughout Poland, especially in Wavel Cathedral in Krakow, Poland in the pantheon of national heroes, where the presidential couple was buried
