Greece, a new general crisis strike

The Greeks  held yesterday the fourth general strike since February, while the Eurozone is subject to ever more speculation on its collapse
Greeks perceive their leaders  guilty for the  economic situation of the country.

The fourth general strike, organized in as many months as have passed from the first austerity measures adopted by the socialist executive in Athens, brought yesterday,the Greek State at ease.

Nearly 20,000 people, police said, and more than 40,000 strikers,  marched on the streets of major cities .This time this form of protest didn’t degenerate into violence the way it had happened on May 5th , when three people died in a fire.

Nearly 1,700 policemen were deployed in central Athens to avoid incidents . Patrols have focused on Exarchia district, where about 30 people, suspected of preparing to incite violence demonstrators were detained.
