The plane crashed at Smolensk contained no sensitive data on NATO

An official of the Polish military counterintelligence service said there were no NATO devices or sensitive data on the Polish presidential aircraft, crashed near Smolensk in April, RIA Novosti.

A Soviet Tupolev 154 plane crashed on April 10th near Smolensk, killing Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Mary and 94 other political and military officials.

“It was a satellite phone on board of the Tu-154, but there were no secret codes, cryptographic devices or other materials,” said Col. Krzysztof Dusza, head of the Polish military counterintelligence (SKW).

Polish officials described as “pure speculation” the fact the media claims that Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) could have  intercepted sensitive documents and devices like laptops and memory disks, immediately after the collapse of the aircraft.
