No iPhone 4G recall despite antenna problems, price $199-$299
Earlier this month Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone 4g in what he called the ‘best iPhone’ yet. It went on sale in the US and five other countries last week and like all other Apple products there was plenty of hype and excitement around the sale of this one.
However there were problems too, the main issue was with the antenna. Users found their calls were dropping out mid way through a call and coverage was weaker than the previous iPhone . This is not a major problem though, its just a minor software glitch that Apple is working on. Many tech gurus predict that Apple will be out with an update very soon.
There were some strories doing rounds that Apple is planning a recall of all its iPhone 4G’s, but it was a hoax from a fake Steve Jobs twitter account.
The real Steve Jobs however responded to complaints and advised users to just avoid holding it in a way that blocks the antenna.
Apple later released a short statement saying, “Avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”
