Muslims in France, outraged by the desecration of the community graves
The Council of Muslim cult in France has expressed today “deep indignation” after several racist messages were discovered on three graves in the Muslim cemetery in Vienne, south-east of the country, AFP reported
Moussaou, president of the Councili, urged authorities to do everything possible to make the stop profanity.
Racist messages found later this week aimed particularly the Hark community, composed of Algerians employed by the French army during the Algerian war from 1954 to 1962.
It is not the first incident of this kind. In early May, seven stars in Tarascon Muslim cemetery were desecrated. Police found a boy of 14 years who said that he was playing.
In late January, islamophobe inscriptions were painted on the wall of a mosque in Paris.
