Asia Cup 2010 cricket tournament: Schedule and Fixture
The schedule of 2010 Asia Cup has been announced by the Asian Cricket Council to be held in the month of June. The Council has decided to have only seven ODIs playing between June 15 and 25 in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is defending champion of Asia cup as it won the last Asia Cup in 2009 by defeating India, when the tournament was help in Pakistan.
The Asian Cricket Council has also announced a partnership with Nimbus Sport International for Asia Cup cricket event from 2010 to 2014. The five-year deal will include three Asia Cup events which will be marketed globally by Nimbus Sport.
The Asia Cup will be held every alternate year in the years 2010, 2012 and 2014, featuring teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
This year’s playing countries are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Hong Kong and Bangaldesh. Hongkong and UAE are the only non test playing nations in the Asia Cup teams. India is expected to host the Asia Cup 2010.
