Asia Cup 2010 cricket: Virender Sehwag under injury cloud
Indian opener Virender Sehwag injured his hamsting during Indias win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2010 cricket tournament. the star batsman scored 10 runs and was in pain all throughout his innings. Sehwag also used a runner during the knock which took 32 balls – very uncharacteristic compared to the pace he usually scores his runs at.
The win over Pakistan last night guaranteed India a spot in the Asia Cup 2010 finals on the 24th of June. However Indias next match is on the 22nd of June when they take on Sri Lanka.
Sehwag is being monitored by the team physio and a call on his fitness will be taken before the next match. Meanwhile India has some good news, Ashish Nehra has fully recovered from his back spasms.
