U2 Bono undergoes urgent back surgery
The vocal performer of the famous band U2, Bono, has undergone a urgent spinal surgery after an injury suffered during a rehearsal for the tour the band was preparing for, BBC announces.
The 50 year old musician, was transported to a specialized clinic in Munich, Germany, where he will remain hospitalized for several days.
After the discharge, Bono will return home to Ireland for the full recovery and for that reason most concerts have been canceled and a new schedule will be prepared the next days by the band managers.
“The band were very keen to resume the tour until Bono’s back surgery happened in Munich today (Friday, No),” said Paul McGuinness, the band’s manager, in an audio message posted on the U2 website .
