Chlorine gas leak sickens 300 people
A chlorine gas leak made 300 people fall ill in northern Nigeria due to a welder cut into a tank of noxious gas as per the Nigerian environmental officers.
The leak started Saturday afternoon in Kaduna and thereafter some people became ill and passed out after breathing in the gas.
The tank was soaked in the water by the emergency services on Sunday morning. Nigeria, Africa’s most popular nation, is most affected by industrial disasters either due to carelessness or any theft.
The best example can be the pipeline explosion of 2008 in Lagos which killed 100 people.
