iPhone 4g coming to Verizon Wireless in 2011 – reports
Since the iPhone 4g was launched, the biggest question has been ‘ is the iPhone coming to Verizon?’ If new reports are to be belived, the Apple iPhone 4g will be coming to Verizon Wireless in early 2011.
Bloomberg.com reports that two insiders have confirmed that the iPhone is coming to Verizon, but chose to remain anonymous as the information is not been yet been released publicly. However spokespersons from both companies declined to comment.
Currently all versions of the iPhone are only available with AT&T, but many people are not happy with the level of service that is provided. Customers complain about frequent reception problems and other reliability issues. A decision to let Verizon in is expected to be received favourably as people have put off buying the iPhone because of AT&T’s service. If analysts are to be believed, iPhone sales will rise sharply if it is available on Verizon.
Presently the 16 gb version of the iPhone 4g is available for $199, while the 32 gb version costs $299. Since its release last week, the iPhone has been plagued with problems, including reception issues.
