FIFA World Cup’s Golden Ball nominees announcement has been made by Jérôme Valcke who listed the 10 players nominated for the title of best player at World Cup 2010.

- Wesley Sneijder (Netherlands)
- Arjen Robben (Netherlands)
- Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany)
- Mesut Ozil (Germany)
- Diego Forlan (Uruguay)
- Asamoah Gyan (Ghana)
- Lionel Messi (Argentina)
FIFA’s Golden Ball Award would be given to the best footballer in the World Cup finals, after being voted by the representative of accredited media.
Commercially named as “Adidas golden ball”, the Golden Ball might go to Diego Forlan, voted 23.4 per cent, Wesley Snijder, 21.8 per cent and David Villa, 16.9 per cent.
On what concerns the Golden Boot, Thomas Muller was the one to be given the award, assisted by David Villa, Wesley Sneijder and Deigo Forlan.
Besides, the 20-year old Muller also won the FIFA best young footballer award in 2010 World Cup.
