Ex-Argentina coach Diego Maradona claims “betrayal”
Maradona claimed national team manager Carlos Bilardo to oust him Argentina’s quarter – final exist at this summer’s world cup.
He also accused the Argentina football association of lying and betrayal as his contract was not renewed as the national coach.
Maradona also accused Argentina football association president Julio gronodona of lying about his future.
He stated that “they called me to put out a fire and we put it out. I ‘ve given everything, everything,” Maradona rejected to change his backroom team, which lead to the end of his 20-month Argentina manager as he was not renewed his contract as national coach of Argentina football association.
Argentina under-20 coach Sergio Batista has been appointed as the caretaker after the departure of Maradona.
