Sri Lanka Vs India ODI highlights

Thisara Perera and Dilshan helped Sri Lanka to a crushing 8 wicket over India at Dambulla on Sunday. Batting first, India managed just 103 runs as Perera ripped through the middle order. Dilshan then smashed 35 of 23 balls to ensure the run chase ended quickly.

However it was Kulasekara who did the early damage, picking up the wickets of Virender Sehwag and Karthik in early in the game. Yuvraj and Sharma then consolidated the innings, but just when they looked to kick on, Sharma was dismissed by Mathews for 11.

Perera was then given the ball, and he did not waste any time, getting rid of Raina for 8 with his second ball. He then got rid of Dhoni, Jadeja and Raina to leave the visitors reeling at 7/77. Malinga then joined the fun, picking up the wickets of Nehra and Yuvraj to leave India with no hope.

Perera then did the final rights, dismissing Ishant for 2 and claiming a 5 wicket hall. Perera finished with 5/28, while Kulasekara and Malinga picked up 2/31  and 2/21 respectively. Yuvraj was the highest scorer for India with 38.

In reply Sri Lanka were ruthless. Jayawardene and Dilshan got off to a flyer and had 79 on the board in just 9 overs. However Ishant gatecrashed Sri Lankas party dismissing openers of consecutive balls.

But it was too little too late and Sri Lanka romped home with a bonus point win.
