“Victory Day’ is celebrated in Russia today

Russia celebrates today 65 years since the victory against Nazism. The Red Square  in Moscow hosts the largest parade held in the  recent years. 10,000 soldiers will march  in the demonstrations parades dedicated to the “Victory Day”.

” 65 years ago, you won the freedom of our country and the whole world’s as well and gave us the opportunity to live. We worship you.”, the Russian President addressed  to the veterans present in the Red Square.

The event is, however, marked by several controversies. Russian leaders have divided preferential invitations, therefore major state leaders are absent.  U.S., UK and France leaders have not attended the Russian ceremony.
