Kindergartens in China, a target for mentally ill criminals
Six children and their teacher were stabbed to death today in a kindergarten in northern China. Another 20 were wounded.
It is the fifth attack that occurs in less than two months in schools and kindergartens in the country, according to Xinhua Agency, cited by AFP.
The attacker killed himself. The children were all under six years old. Today’s tragedy in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province occurs at less than two weeks after a similar incident.
Not incidentally, recently the authorities had increased security measures in schools.
In some places guards were equipped with stun sprays, and teachers were obliged to ensure that students went home accompanied.
In other areas much harsher measures were taken. For example in Chongqing, the police have orders to shoot anyone trying to enter the school.
