Air India Officials Calls Off the Strike

The strike started on Tuesday by the Air India labour Union because of the company Hiring a private engineer to certify a relief plane flying to Mangalore Karnataka,  India, the scene of the crash of an Air India flight from Dubai on Saturday that killed 158 people.

The strike against Air India led to severe loss for the company on Wednesday as Air India spokesman K. Swaminathan reported that at least 13,500 passengers were affected as about 135 round-trip flights that included international flights too, were canceled on Wednesday.

Union leader Dinakar Shetty said the strike was called off after the labor commissioner sorted the  issues between the employees and the management. Shetty confirmed that his union will report back to duty as soon as possible.
