7 arrested over links to sect militant attackers

Seven men have been arrested over alleged links to the militants who attacked a minority sect which killed 93 people in eastern Pakistan.

One of the two mosques attacked on Friday was visited by Interior Minister Rehman Malik in Lahore where he promised to work with the local officials to tackle the growing problem.

The terrorists hiding in Punjab have now come on the surface. The seventh men arrested over the past two days belonged to different militant groups but refused to specify them.

The police hopes to round up all the handlers and backers of the attackers soon.
