Shoe-bomb scare in Pakistan
Panic was induced at the airport in Karachi, southern Pakistan. Even before getting on the plane, a man was arrested after authorities found in his shoes,some batteries and an electric circuit, the BBC reported.
When the passenger was scanned the alarm began to sound. The guards took the man and had him searched.
They found the beeping explosives in his shoes.The shoes were hiding a strange device: four batteries, an electrical circuit with an on / off button.
The suspect, a young engineer, aged 30 years, said he comes from Khyber region, a volatile tribal region where Taliban and other Islamist rebels are active, AFP notes.
The man was immediately arrested.
