A Paramedic from New Zealand Knows No Boundary

Mark Cunningham, 39, came to Thailand 10 years ago for a holiday and never left, tells his story as to what made him settle down in Thailand.

It all started when he turned up to an accident, the natives were glad that a foreigner has turned up to help them. Mark adds “I’m pretty sure I’m the only foreign ambulance driver in the country. I am currently based about an hour and a half outside Bangkok”.

Mark was an electrician in his early life when I left school and completed graduation in linguistics and management. He also has experience working for what was then the New Zealand Dairy Board (now Fonterra).

Finally, I ended up teaching in Korea and pard time paramedic in Thailand.
