Shakira performs at the closing ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2010
The sexy Columbian singer, Shakira, is reported to be performing at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The show is scheduled to take place in Soccer City two hours before the title match on Sunday, July 11, 2010.
Shakira will sing her own “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” with a local group, Freshlyground.
“While the opening ceremony was more traditional in its approach, in order to do justice to Africa’s heritage, the closing ceremony will have more contemporary and youthful themes.” said Derek Carstans, chief marketing officer.
Shakira also performed at the opening ceremony as well on June 11, 2010.
