iPhone 4g problem takes first toll, hardware engineer ‘leaves’ Apple
Apples iPhone 4g problems seem to have started taking its toll with a senior executive incharge of iPhone hardware parting ways with the company.
Apple released a statement saying, Mark Papermaster, senior vice president of iPhone and iPod hardware engineering, was ‘leaving’ the company. Apple would not confirm or deny if he was sacked or was leaving on his own terms. Mark Papermaster could not be reached for a comment.
Apple released the Iphone in June, but it has been plagued with problems regarding its antenna. Many users have reported a weak signal when the phone is held in a certain way. Some have even reported drop outs in the middle of a call.
Just a few of weeks ago apple announced a fix for the problem, giving away free rubber cases to those who bought the iPhone.
Apple’s senior vice president of Macintosh hardware engineering, Bob Mansfield will take over from Papermaster.
