Nemanja Vidic agrees on Long-term contract with Manchester United
Nemanja Vidic, the Manchester United defender has agreed upon terms on a new contract at the club. The news was confirmed by Manchester United officials. He is said to have got offers from Italian side AC Milan and Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Vidic’s wife had reportedly grown unsettled in England, that spured the linked with a move, it’s also said that he had become angered by earning considerably less than defensive partner Rio Ferdinand. Now that the player is set to extend his stay at Old Trafford These rumours now seen to have been dismissed.
Club’s chief executive David Gill stated on the club’s official website that the deal had been agreed before the centre back represented Serbia at the World Cup and will be signed when he returns from holiday in early August.
A lot of speculation was there about Nemanja’s future, and Gill accused the media of drumming some old stories because they certainly didn’t come out of the Manchester United camp or didn’t come out of Nemanja’s camp.
Gill also added that he was very pleased to confirm that Nemanja agreed terms, three or four weeks ago on a new long-term deal with the club.
