Mercury, hidden in skin bleaching creams
Some creams that come along in packages with the promise that your skin will turn whiter,creams that remove stains, reduce freckles, contain mercury, a toxic metal that can cause serious health problems, the publication Chicago Tribune has shown in an investigation report.
Some whitening creams for skin blemish , produced in countries like India, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, contain mercury, which is a very dangerous metal.
An American newspaper has bought 50 of these creams and sent them to a certified laboratory for testing. Some were purchased online from other stores. Researchers say they discovered that six creams containing mercury, although it this is prohibited by law.
Five of these had a large enough quantity to cause, in time, kidney problems, according to a health expertise.
