2010 Champions League T20 cricket format changed| Wanderers to host final
The 2010 edition of the Champions League T20 tournament will feature 10 teams divided into two groups with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semifinals. This is a change from last year which features two league stages before the semi finals.
Group A comprises of Chennai Super Kings, Victoria, Warriors, Wayamba and Central Districts, while group B will comprise of Mumbai Indians, Lions, South Australia, Royal Challengers Bangalore and the winners of the West Indies domestic Twenty20 tournamnet.
Despite the change, the number of matchs will remain the same as year- 23. Matches will be played at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg, St. Georges Park in Port Elizabeth, Kingsmead in Durban and Centurion Park in Centurion. The 2010 Champions League T20 starts onn the 10th of September, while the final will be played at the Wanderers on the 26th of September.
Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians andRoyal Challengers Bangalore are the three teams from the IPL. However last years champs New South Wales Blues have not qualified for the 2010 CLT20.
