A new study reveals that people with wider grin and deeper laughter lines live longer than their dull counterparts.

Researchers at Wayne University in Michigan, America, ranked 230 pictures of major league baseball players printed in the 1952 baseball register according to their smiles and laughter lines and compared the chart to the lifespan of each player to reach their conclusions.

184 players have died since. These players were divided into 3 groups based on the above mentioned criteria.

Those with ‘no smile’ lived an average of 72.9 years while the other extreme, the ones with ‘wide grins’ lived 79.9 years a whooping 7 years longer.

The ‘partial smile’ guys lived an average of 75 years.
