Athens: asks for military fuel assistance
According to Greece, they will make use of Military trucks, fuel tankers as well as navy vessels to help to restore their gasoline supplies since the tourism trade of the country and its industry was sort of on strike.
The emergency plan for fuel assistance would definitely take into effect the soonest possible time. This is to ensure that the public services will not be affected by protesters, said Giorgos Petalotis, the Government spokesman.
Recently, truckers have continued to protest to rebel on a order to return to work.
Two people were hurt during the incident in Northern Greece after the strikers had a riot with the police to prevent a government truck from leaving the protest area.
