Orexican drug helps obese lose weight
Obese individuals will try anything just to help them lose their weight. These individuals voluntarily took the experimental drug Contrave by Orexigen.
The drug’s action is to help individuals taking it to reduce their food cravings and is expected to lose weight at about 6kg in one year.
The obese volunteers said that when they took the drug, their desire for starchy and sweet foods has lessen. They also added that they felt fuller and less craving for food especially oily foods.
The study is being published in the Lancet Medical Journal. Although the results have been good, experts still suggests that more studies needs to be done to ensure that the drug is safe to use.
