Kenya not considering troops for African Union
Raila Odinga, Kenya’s Prime Minister says that his country probably won’t commit troops to an expanded African Union force for Somalia. But he is open for a review. According to prime minister the presence of Kenyan troops could be seen as an invasion because of Kenya’s shared border with Somalia.
Kenya might review its own position only if other African countries announce their commitments. An expanded AU force for Somalia is being planned after the recent African Union summit in Uganda.
They Somali crisis had created threats for peace across the region due to the militant group of Islamist militants like, al Shabaab, who claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Uganda two weeks ago that left 76 people dead
