DeGeneres: Does not want to go back to “Idol”
The Chairman of Entertainment for the Fox Networks Group, Peter Rice, is having difficulty answering questions as to who will fill the Judge table that was vacated by DeGeneres and again lately Simon Cowell.
According to a Fox executive, although DeGeneres signed a five-year contract with “Idol”, they tried talking to DeGeneres about coming back to the show but she said that the reason she leaves the show is because she is not comfortable criticizing the contestants.
The goal for the show is to complete the set of judges by mid-September, the set date for the audition for the 10th season of the show.
