Indian version of Apple iPad costs only $35
India has immediately responded to the appearance of the new Apple iPad and unveiled their own prototype of a tablet PC.
This new Indian product is to do the same as Apple iPad for $35 or less.
If India can find a company to mass-produce their tablet and sell it anywhere near its price target, this might actually be a revolutionary tech product.
The $35 tablet PC will run a variation of the open source Linux operating system, having 2Gb of RAM, but no internal storage – only a removable memory card.
The device features a USB port, and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
The $35 tablet has a PDF reader, multimedia player, video conferencing, Web browser, and word processor, having the ability to create, view, or edit files in Microsoft Word format.
This Linux-based, Web-connected tablet would have a great success in the United States at a price of $35.
