Facebook Launches a dedicated Privacy Page
As a response to the criticism over its handling of user privacy, Facebook launches a dedicated privacy page.
The Facebook and Privacy page, located at , “serves as a living resource and a venue to facilitate an interactive discussion about privacy,” Facebook said in a blog post.
“We’ll regularly post updates on relevant new content, products and news stories related to online privacy.”
This is a final attempt to provide easier access to information on how users can restrict access to personal information.
The new page includes a news feed that will automatically send privacy updates to Facebook users. It also offers video tutorials on how to choose settings for privacy controls, as well as links to a privacy guide.
There is a great pressure on Zuckerberg’s shoulders, as there were 15 organizations only in the last month who filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and sent a letter to Congress saying Facebook has engaged in unfair and deceptive trade practices in violation of consumer protection law.
