Do fresh blood works better than old ones?
The Food and Drug Administration usually allows blood to be stored for almost 42 days and most of the time the hospital would use the oldest ones to ensure that the first one to expire should be used first.
But the question lies on whether or not the old bloods have the same blood components as compared to the fresh ones. Because as time passes by, the red blood cells would precipitate and losses some of its components.
If you are to use a blood for your own self, would you rather use the old or the fresh blood? Definitely, the fresh ones!
