Putin denied the presence of Biden and Prince Charles at the parade in Moscow
Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin has refused to allow Prince Charles and U.S. Vice President, Joe Biden, to attend the Victory Parade held in Red Square tomorrow, relates the Guardian.
The most probable reason is the British refusal to extradite one of the Kremlin critics, former Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsk.
Pavel Felgenhauer, military analyst and contributor to the opposition Novaya Gazeta newspaper, stated that the decision to deny the presence of Prince Charles fully belonged to Putin.
He appreciated that Moscow adopted this intransigent position encouraged by a series of recent foreign policy successes, like the removal of pro-Western government of Ukraine .
Moscow invited the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to attend on Sunday the events celebrating the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II.
