New Smaller Government to Tackle Hungary’s Economic Crisis
After winning the elections, Viktor Orban, the newly elected prime minister of Hungary presented the new formula government.
So far the Budapest cabinet consisted of 15 ministries, which have now been replaced by the 8 so called “superministries”.
In exchange, the political state secretaries coordonating the activity of the various sectors of the Hungarian economy has been estimated to a number of almost 40.
More than half of the Hungarian government portfolios have been divided among jurists.
The first statements the ministers have made, emphasize the necessity of solving the issue of double citizenship for the Hungarians off the border in order to overcome the “shame” brought by the 2004 referendum.
