Merkel has lost elections in North Rhine – Westphalia
Amid the crisis in Greece, eight months after legislative elections success , chancellor Merkel coalition lost the regional elections.
Over 13 million voters in the German state of North Rhine – Westphalia were called yesterday to the pool to nominate the regional parliament.
Christian Democratic Union received the lowest election result.
According to AFP, the elections affected the Chancellor Angela Merkel coalition , after the controversial plan for the financial support of Greece was adopted.
For the coalition led by Merkel, losing elections in North Rhine – Westphalia is simmilar to, the loss of majority in the Bundesrat, the upper house of parliament.
