Apple Design Awards 2010 go to IPhone, IPad Apps

The Apple Design Awards is a special event hosted by Apple at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, being meant to recognize iPhone OS applications that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation, superior technology adoption, high performance, and outstanding design, as well as the best and most creative uses of Apple’s products.

Even though this year’s awards are being held at Apple’s yearly Worldwide Developers Conference as usual, the content is a little different from years past.

Meaning that the company chose only to consider applications for the iPhone and iPad, and not the Mac.

So, this year’s winners included:

Nominations are made by developers, as any member of the iPhone Developer Program could submit one iPhone app and one iPad app for consideration.

Winners are offered Apple hardware and other prizes alongside the silver Apple Design Award trophy.
