Biodegradable wedding dress

British scientists have invented environmentally friendly clothing, which can be dissolved in water even after being worn only once.

A team of engineering students in the fields of fashion from the UK Sheffield Hallam University have invented a wedding dress that can be converted into five pieces of clothing, announces daily The Daily Telegraph.

The wedding dress  is created from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a biodegradable substance used for making bags and transporting laundry at public washing machines.

The substance introduced into the textile material is used also for making liquid detergents.

This type of material allows clothes to be placed in water without harming the environment.

Students’  imaginative creations will be admired in an exhibition on “a marriage that lasts”, which will take place this month at the university.
