Serena Williams makes way for Samantha Stosur
Serena Williams was knocked out of the French Open after she could not match the brilliant performance of her opponent Samantha Stosur. Stosur who is an Australian defeated Williams -2, 6-7 (2/7), 8-6 in a match that could have been won by the both the players until the last serve.
Samantha could have finished the game in straight sets when she got to within 2 points of winning the game but Serena Williams made an excellent come back.
The win put Stosur in the semi final for the second staight year proving that she is now an elite player in the game of tennis. Stosur had defeatd four time champion Justine Henin in the previous round to face Serena Williams.
Serena Williams has not been looking in the best of form since she won her 12th Grand Slam title in January by winning the Australian Open.
