Hanescu, hopeless against Murray
Romanian player Victor Hanescu was defeated by Britain’s Andy Murray, 6-2, 6-1, in the third round of the Madrid Masters tournament.
Murray, the third favorite in the competition in the capital of Spain, had no problem with the young Roumanian, whom he eliminated in 69 minutes.
Hanescu (World number 38) couldn’t conquer the Briton, who lost not once his service service last night.
Hanescu and Murray also met once in 2009, the tournament’s second round in Monte Carlo, where Murray won the match by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
In the quarter-finals in Madrid, Andy Murray will meet David Ferrer, who won the match against the Croat Marin Cilic with a score 6-3, 6-2.
